Clutches... - sweeney1987 - 20-05-2014

Had a search but couldnt find much info

Basically the clutch is slipping on me van, so thinking if im going to replace it i may aswell uprate it a bit for small extra price difference

What do people recommend?

looking at this

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251433271178?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Any better cheaper alternatives?

finding it hard to justify price, seeing as the van didnt cost much more..

Unless it's running big power, what's the point? It's over double what a valeo would cost and a valeo will take plenty of abuse

As above unless your going for serious power don't bother

I easily held 177bhp and 247lbft torque on a luk clutch

And they're AWFUL to drive with.

Once hot they grab like f*ck.

Paddle clutches aren't particularly pleasant to drive through traffic either, and depending on the sorta work your van does might be a right pain in the ass.

have a look to Calder clutches mate, they do standard and paddle clutches./.

i have a standers 215m 16valve clutch in mine and it get ssome monster abuse from the XUD when offroading (had it smoking a few times) and its always solid..
