Upgraded gti6 brake setup - cjm_harris - 17-05-2014
Hi chaps,
As I have now moved on to KAD 6 pots for my track car, the standard brakes will now be up for sale. They will come with braided lines, Mintex 1144 pads and standard discs.
They were painted red (pretty badly) while on the car, so before refitting they could do with being repainted, but if you are not bothered about that, they are ready to go. Pads and discs have plenty of life left in them.
Probably could of cleaned them before taking pictures, but hey ho :laugh

I haven't had the pad wear sensors connected for god know how long. They ain't needed!
Will be loads of life left on the pads and discs. Pads have worn down sod all since they have been on the car and discs have sod all lip on them. Can hardly feel it

pads are what, £100+ a pair? and they look about brand new to me.
I'm running pretty much this setup on mine, same 1144 pads

Yeah pads alone were over £100, couple of years old now, but the car has only done a few thousand miles since then.

Not sure on this. I know the brakes will fit on 205 gti hubs, but I dont know if yours are any different. Usually need 15" wheels to clear too, so if you are running 14" wheels I would say they wont fit.

They will fit the 1.6/stdt hubs and the 1.9s but will need longer brake hoses, also need 15inch wheels as said

They are just a bit more focused to track, but sold as fast road/track. I used mine on the road and they were fine, and pretty good on the track with decent bite etc.
I havent really used many other performance pads so cant give an analysis based against others, but I was always happy with them.

It's the weight that'll do the postage in - still think this is a really good price all in considering the pads that come with it and braided lines
