Clicky relay; pics.. - ginge191 - 14-05-2014 Large black relay on the right. Any idea what this relay is? Has tendencies to click repeatedly when diriving, then stop, then start again. ![]() RE: Clicky relay; pics.. - Niall - 14-05-2014 New indicator stalk time! There's no actually fault at the moment, indicators have never been an issue at all RE: Clicky relay; pics.. - WiNgNuTz - 14-05-2014 Not sure about the black relay, indicator relay would be the orange one iirc, and from your description i'd say it sounds like the indicator stalk as well. I refurbed mine in the DT, took me about 20 minutes start to finish, never had any issue with it again in the year or so afterwards. ![]() RE: Clicky relay; pics.. - ginge191 - 14-05-2014 (14-05-2014, 04:45 PM)WiNgNuTz Wrote: Not sure about the black relay, indicator relay would be the orange one iirc, and from your description i'd say it sounds like the indicator stalk as well. RE: Clicky relay; pics.. - Grant - 14-05-2014 You can get them from about 8 quid on the bay. Had the same issue with my car. Stalk fixed it. RE: Clicky relay; pics.. - ginge191 - 14-05-2014 do they differ at all between models/phases? Yes. Some cars will not have front fogs switch. Others will. Also, some Ph1 had a round horn button, Ph2 and 3 have an oval type. RE: Clicky relay; pics.. - Grant - 14-05-2014 No. The partner van has the same type as the 206. This could be multiplex depending on the age. Either way, it won't fit. Just repeatdly clicking then stops anytime I go to look at it. Is this a really common thing? RE: Clicky relay; pics.. - Toms306 - 18-06-2014 Yep, the indicator stalks are a pretty common fail.....not so bad at the early 'annoying' stage but if left can cause smoke from the dash! ![]() (14-05-2014, 04:45 PM)WiNgNuTz Wrote: Not sure about the black relay, indicator relay would be the orange one iirc Also, just FYI, indicator is small black or grey one, large orange one is for the rear heated window. ![]() RE: Clicky relay; pics.. - ginge191 - 18-06-2014 Mine actually fixed itself... God knows what happened; but similarly the wiper motor which was playing up also sorted itself out. RE: Clicky relay; pics.. - bashbarnard - 18-06-2014 Might just replace the stalk to be safe. You got one tom?? Fair enough, obviously I don't recall correctly then! ![]() RE: Clicky relay; pics.. - Eeyore - 18-06-2014 mine has started to do this as well. Clicks lots if the stalk is slightly up or down of its normal central position. RE: Clicky relay; pics.. - nick000 - 18-06-2014 I think I have an indicator stalk if needed RE: Clicky relay; pics.. - Toms306 - 18-06-2014 (18-06-2014, 09:55 AM)bashbarnard Wrote: Might just replace the stalk to be safe. I do have a non-fog one that I bought years ago in error (sellers error!) if I can find it you can have it, never tried it though.
