Ducting For Filter - Heat - bigcheez2k3 - 10-05-2014
Looking at buying the air ducting for sale on here, just curious as to whether it's ok for the heat seeing as it'd be travelling along the back of the engine.
I know a few here have used this method.

i've used the cheaper thin stuff before and its stood up to all sorts of abuse

Alu ducting going to a van airbox with bits of an Iveco, Ducato, Volvo and Mercedes to make up the pipework. Sees 25psi once at operating temp with the standard paper filter and all

Where your pipe is routed wont make a single bit of difference to the intake temps, it's where it sucks it in from that will count.
