what car for the mrs.. - j_carter - 16-04-2014

Hi All,

second hand Car shopping for the mrs at the minute.

Got around 5K to spend, maybe a little more.

Shes currently got a corsa D. we are looking at things like audi a3, audi tt, mini cooper s and now we have run out of ideas..

just wondering if anyone has any recommendations or what your mrs drives as we want something fairly low mileage and not too old.

James

You want something:

-Safe
-Well built
-Reliable
-Interesting
-Economic

It fits your budget of 'maybe a little more than 5k', and I would thoroughly recommend it.

Really? I think that is possibly the worlds ugliest car! lol

Z3s are beautiful IMO, they've aged badly though. I always thought the 1.9 was a 4 cylinder though? That advert says it's a 6.

Mini Cooper IMO. Skip the Cooper S and benefit slightly cheaper insurance for something a bit newer (and hopefully better built)...

Z3 is a terrible car all round!

How on earth did you work that out? E36 chassis with less weight, only two seats and more toys, what's not to like?

RE: what car for the mrs.. - 1616six - 17-04-2014

They handle shite, 1.9 is too slow, 2.8/3.0 is too big of an engine in a little car. Ugly too.

330ci handles & drives way better!

Would still have an mx5 though!

RE: what car for the mrs.. - Poodle - 17-04-2014

They drive just fine with a bit of tweaking, the 6 pots are awesome engines too. Too big lol, what's that? :p

Think the cooper s is looking more favourable, Batmobile is the wrong colour TMI
