Mixing and matching Bosch plungers and heads - Harky - 13-04-2014 So simple enough question, I have about three 9mm heads, plungers and collars, all kept in diesel, but all are mixed up. Now I seem to remember that they're all supposed to be matched to each other. So should I try fitting a random combination anyway or just find another 9mm head from somewhere? If you really start spinning the engine fast, you're quite likely to overheat it and it'll sieze and all the fun will stop quite rapidly. RE: Mixing and matching Bosch plungers and heads - Harky - 14-04-2014 Cheers guys, I suspected that might have been the case, and after looking in my bucket of bits, some have started to rust even though they're stored in diesel I shall have a look locally, otherwise expect to see a wanted add shortly! If theres diesel there I doubt it'd take that long to work out which ones from which based on how they all feel when the plunger is pounding head.
