Turbo for city driving , GT2056S - andyyy - 12-04-2014 Doing a lot of driving around city's lately and was looking for a turbo that would spool up quickly and deliver some punch but would also need to be decent on motorways So reading up on here and it doesn't seem like a t04 would suit this soo more reading brought me to the T25 or the Gt2056S Also I'm running a kkk turbo at the minute turned up to 19psi with fmic Just after some opinions really and what's involved I know where to get oil lines from but not exhaust flanges also ? RE: Turbo for city driving , GT2056S - Ricky - 12-04-2014 T25 is probably worse than the TD04 really. 2056 or 52 would be fine. RE: Turbo for city driving , GT2056S - Martin306 - 12-04-2014 Won't have punch? lolwut. Just stick it in first gear. RE: Turbo for city driving , GT2056S - Tom - 12-04-2014 Just get a Gt15... RE: Turbo for city driving , GT2056S - andyyy - 12-04-2014 Dunnooo what I was on about punch this morning lol was just pissed I had to work on my Saturday lol I'll have a look at a gt15 And the other reason I forgot to say is iv been offered A gt2056s cheap £70 off a Renault traffic that's in good nic ( friend of mine wrote off his van) RE: Turbo for city driving , GT2056S - sweeney1987 - 12-04-2014 straight easy fit go for a gt15 or even k03 of the later dturbos. id be tempted by the renault one if i was you but fabrication isnt a problem for me all depends on your own circumstances, turbo chages alone can be an arseache, never mind trying to mod one that doesnt come standard RE: Turbo for city driving , GT2056S - andyyy - 12-04-2014 So what's better the gt15 or k03 I am tempted as they seem to be going for alot kn ebay and i dont want to get another turbo and then decide I want one of these and miss a chance of getting it for 70quid ! Fabrication as in welding new exhaust flanges is no issue just need to know where to get the flanges from , or are you guys using the ones off the traffic / daily manifolds ? Well it's no issue if the car was off the road for a week or so i could use another car as my daily RE: Turbo for city driving , GT2056S - Piggy - 12-04-2014 GT2056s is an ace turbo... But a GT15/Ko3 would, imo, be better suited to daily driving, better still, a GT15vnt RE: Turbo for city driving , GT2056S - Dave - 13-04-2014 Ant vnt would be ace around town tbh, a t25/t2 hybrid is also a quick spooler. RE: Turbo for city driving , GT2056S - andyyy - 13-04-2014 So should I bother getting it for 70 quid and give it a go or just let it be scrapped ? RE: Turbo for city driving , GT2056S - welshpug - 13-04-2014 NAD would be better around town :p RE: Turbo for city driving , GT2056S - andyyy - 13-04-2014 Lol ,Not when your trying to get past lost weekend drivers ! Anyway I'm going to get it seems a waste otherwise as there going for a lot more on ebay RE: Turbo for city driving , GT2056S - Martin306 - 13-04-2014 (13-04-2014, 08:26 AM)welshpug Wrote: NAD would be better around town :p A NAD is never better in any situation other than for driving at 60mph down the motorway for epic mpgs. Even then, a turbonad would be even better on fuel RE: Turbo for city driving , GT2056S - martyn92 - 13-04-2014 There isnt much point on spending on another standard turbo though really ? The standard gt15 is great but the k14 still isnt that bad at all ? |
