gti 6 shocks and springs on an hdi - tuttyboy84 - 11-04-2014

Will gti 6 front gmax springs and shocks work on my hdi or is the diesel engine too heavy for them???

they will lift the car a bit, gti6 engine and box is the heaviest combo in a 306 other than possibly an auto xu10J4R.

a DW10TD isn't very heavy really, no HP distro pump, single cam, 5 speed box.

I'd hope there is a HP pump on a 306 HDi...

You also forget there's a big lump of metal bolted to the back of the block. HDi and GTi weights wont be that much different.

GTi shocks are good, I've used them on a few 306s, but you cant use the springs as it'll make little to no difference - so get some lowering springs designed for the HDi, or Xsara VTS ones.
