Hard brake pedal? - clarkey2010 - 09-04-2014

abit of a odd one really,

start the car up the morning and for the first mile or so the brake pedal occasionally will go really hard with no pedal travel and you really have force the pedal down for it to stop but some times its fine.

recently swapped the original callipers for some HDI ones (re-greased the sliders and fresh fluid ) as the old ones seals were knackered which i thought would solve it but hasn't.

any ideas? master cylinder fudged?

sounds like the vacuum pump or pipe isnt working, or the servo is leaking.

check the piping, no splits etc.

if you have engine running, then turn it off then stick ya ear round the servo, if theres hissing, theres a leak!
