307 Dual Mass? - ct-hdi - 05-04-2014

Right, this is for a mate of mine... he has a 307 hdi with dual mass flywheel...

Basically the clutch n flywheel are done, so I was wondering if it can be replaced with a standard 306 solid fly and clutch?

Which HDi? 2.0 90bhp?

Not sure if it can be done with a 306 1
But when the clutch went on the Mrs 307 Hdi
We put the Conversion flywheel and clutch on it from Euro Car Parts
If i Remember Right it was about £210 for the lot and was easy to change

Ah right.. did it still drive and feel Ok? Any vibrations or anything?

Iirc it's a hdi 90 yea

They also do a 1.6 90bhp though lol.

As the 2.0 90 is the same engine as the 306 I don't see why you couldn't use a 306 one tbh.

Defiantly a 2.0 it's the pre face lift...

So on that basis then do you rekon the 307 Hdi box is compatible in a 306? For sourcing lower mileage boxes etc

I would've thought so, its just a BE4 'box as far as I'm aware? Ratios are probably different though.

307 boxes are different i thought as they are hydraulic and not cable
Although i think they fit as there the same design i dont think you can use because of this??
I think the casings are a bit different

RE: 307 Dual Mass? - Toms306 - 05-04-2014

Hmm, are all the 307s hydraulic clutch?

Not 100% but the 2.0 hdi's are as far as i'm aware

RE: 307 Dual Mass? - Toms306 - 05-04-2014

Ah ok, I didn't realise that.

It will still physically fit, not sure if you convert to manual though (or convert the pedal to hydraulic lol)
