HDI Injectors - HD-Aye! - 02-04-2014
Hi Guys,
I just bought a set of these:

The guy seems to specialise in Peugeot Breaking and Injectors. He did me a set of 4 with a bit of a discount. I told him i want low mileage ones, as mine work but are rattly. I now we play the waiting game. Will let you know my findings once fitted. Communication has been very good thus far.

Which part number did you go with?
I think the 076 ones are the ones to have and they don't have the bad ticking noise.

All 306 ones are 076. However the ticking noise appears when you get higher mileage ones. i specifically requested low mileage ones.
I will be sure to let you know if they are good, and then maybe we can set some sorta deal out with the guy as i am sure a lot of HDI owners are keen to get rid of that horrible noise.
Word of advice, when changing them always buy new plastic sleeves and copper washers, worth doing for the money it costs and to avoid leaks.

076 are the favored ones to replace your tired worn 044/062's as they are fitted to the later 307 cars with less milage

I didn't think any 306's had the 076's as standard.
I have got a set of 40k 076's in the garage ready to fit to mine.

copper washers yes
but i havent replaced any of my plastic guides as none were broken and they do nothing for sealing only alinement
also the book says the high pressure pipes are one use only and should be replaced once disturbed
but again i have reused these
when sourcing injectors source all the same type as they are calabrated into number groups
1,2
so if you get
076 bake sure all four are "1" type dont mix 1 and 2 types

My 044 ones started getting noisy while the car was still under warranty. It must have been less then a year old and less than 60k miles. I complained and they swapped them but even the new ones were noisy under load.

14 years, I've had it since new.
They were swapped under warranty so I don't know how much it cost them but if you get them from the parts counter now there £491.66 each.

I bought mine for £14400. I think they should have been £16k new. I almost bought a year old one for £15k, put a deposit down then got told about this one that was a cancelled order. The year old one was on a T plate and was a phase 2.5.

So it transpires that 076's are either x, y or z. He has sent me a set of y's.
062 and 044 and 008 all have 1's and 2's
This guy knows his stuff. Its all in his listing

Anyone? Theres 2 part numbers for what seems like the same washer...
And judging by the diesel around the injectors (since cleaning it all last week! 
) mine will definitely need replacing lol.

I got mine on ebay? 2.0 hdi washers, iirc they are in fact more expensive from pug. I checked back when I was changing them out.
£5 or £6 on the bay.

No, I think I'm wrong. aren't the two washers listed for a 1.6 and 1.9 engine?
198145 is for 1,9 and the one I put above is for 1,6 ?
Annoyingly the 1,9 ones (if correct) are more expensive!

Both washers are for the 2.0 HDi lol.
You were right first time though, asked at Pug today - 1981 96, £1.91 each.

Id deffo go for the ebay ones. I know theyre right merely because i ordered 2.0 hdi injector washers lol.
All 2.0 hdis have the same injectors except siemens ones I suppose, but I got the right ones anyhow.

Is there a knack to fitting these btw? I've removed plenty, but not refitted any yet. Obviously don't want to bend the solid pipes so do you remove the whole pipe or...?

Ehm loosen both ends of the solid pipes just as you would when removing and youll soon figure out the pipes only go on a certain way due to the bends.
Don't tighten any untill your injectors are in as they can be a bum if you tighten one end, they are the only problem I think?
A dab of copper grease on the injecter seat face where the washer goes helps it to stick to the body.
Other than that just clean up the mating surfaces (injector and head) and jobs a good'n.
