an area to check - procta - 28-03-2014

right i have found another area that the 306 can go, like the rear seat belt mounts,
my mot tester clocked this and said its going to be a bastard to weld,
this is the front passenger inner arch, hole is the bulk head.
i have to think how the f*ck am i going to weld that, as the dash will have to come out!
so be warned on of this one on your 306s!

its not as bad as that, but i didn't think 306s rotted as bad as rovers and minis!

RE: an area to check - martyn92 - 28-03-2014

I think alot more 306s have rust its just people dont notice or just hasnt got there yet, but it will!
The rust on my car was barely noticeable, only through use of a screwdriver/hammer it became apparent

my phase 1 had a bad roof repair, so i know that they are known to fail there, but for the rest of the car?? i thought these were better than fords!

Thatll be mine soon, no liners and the wheels have rubbed the underseal off the arches there.
