could anybody tell me what temperature the oil should be on the gauge after a 30 mile run (gti6) . mine seems to hardly move on the gauge.
many thanks.

Booting or casual driving? Mine used to sit at 85/90 and go to like 100 if ragging it

90 when the engine is fully warmed up and normal driving. Can see over 100 on a hoon

& on track it can go really, really high if you've no oil cooler.

Ran my rallye pn track with 13 row and sat at 85/90,I've heard of mates getting to 110 on town it and traffic but as spon as got to speed cooled, guessing he may have had some fan issuies or hg.

Better check that out mate as usually warms up for me after 15 mins of casual driving, maybe start her up and wait till the fans kick in then check to see what the temp gauge is saying.

Possibly a bad sensor. Where in Surrey are you? I may have a spare here.
