Thinking of buying a garrett gt2052s??? - Jamieh2013 - 21-03-2014 Thinking about buying a garrett gt2052s for my 306 xud sedan... But I'm not too sure what to do?[/size] Currently running 11mm gov mod and td04 RE: Thinking of buying a garrett gt2052s??? - Dum-Dum - 21-03-2014 Well the way I see it you've got 2 choices. You can either buy it or not buy it. RE: Thinking of buying a garrett gt2052s??? - Jamieh2013 - 21-03-2014 Yeah I guessed that already lol Just wondering if it's a better turbo to have... What power could be achieved etc RE: Thinking of buying a garrett gt2052s??? - Dum-Dum - 21-03-2014 It all depends on what you want from the turbo. You'll get a faster spool but probably less top end flow. An exact comparison depends on which TD04 you have RE: Thinking of buying a garrett gt2052s??? - Chris_90 - 21-03-2014 Just buy it stop fannying around RE: Thinking of buying a garrett gt2052s??? - Dave - 24-03-2014 (21-03-2014, 06:27 PM)Dum-Dum Wrote: Well the way I see it you've got 2 choices. lol I love that RE: Thinking of buying a garrett gt2052s??? - Tom - 24-03-2014 The 2052 wont make the same power figure as the td04 because set up well they do make some pretty horrific power figures, but personally a gt series would be easier to drive and probably more fun to. And it'll make epic win noises. RE: Thinking of buying a garrett gt2052s??? - jammapic - 24-03-2014 Put a 2056 on it, it will spool up better than a TD04 and make waaaayyy more top end power. Win, win. :-) JP RE: Thinking of buying a garrett gt2052s??? - Piggy - 24-03-2014 +1 on the 2056s. But just be ballsy and buy a GT2260 RE: Thinking of buying a garrett gt2052s??? - jammapic - 24-03-2014 I had a hybrid turbo made out of lots of various bits, but it was something like a GT2556s with 360* bearing, staggered oil seals, titanium shaft etc etc. It was on full boost by 2500rpm, and revved out as far as I dared (6k) holding 28psi no problems. Made nearly 210hp on that turbo. That said, it was pricey. £700. RE: Thinking of buying a garrett gt2052s??? - Jamieh2013 - 24-03-2014 I was also thinking of selling the car too guys Seen a very nice gti6 in black for sale a couple of streets away from me. Always wanted a gti6.... But whether I'd be happy with one is another thing I suppose. So I've put up a thread just to see what people think my sedans worth to sell it |
