Pitted Trail arm shaft - pugtk - 19-03-2014 I've a very slightly pitted trail arm shaft, probably could just stick it back together, but I don't want to wreak new bearings in a couple of months. would chemical metal be good enough just to fill the small imperfections and then polish it up? RE: Pitted Trail arm shaft - welshpug - 19-03-2014 unlikely it'll be strong enough, shaft and a bearing kit is only £40 or so on ebay. RE: Pitted Trail arm shaft - Grant - 19-03-2014 Chemical metal will just ruin new bearings quicker than the worn shaft will. Get a rebuild kit like this. Will definitely be a trustworthy beam then... |
