fuel light - ripp444 - 07-03-2014 could anybody tell me how low the fuel gauge has to be for the warning to come on. many thanks. RE: fuel light - cully - 07-03-2014 depends on the car my HDI estate i can get 100miles on the light my GTI6 not played roulete with that yet but i guess lead feet could rinse the light in a mile or two RE: fuel light - ripp444 - 07-03-2014 sorry didn't explain very well what i meant to say was the light has never come on yet but the needle has been quite low (gti 6) RE: fuel light - DeeTurbo - 07-03-2014 The bulb might have blown. A good check is to unplug the sender/pump under the rear drivers side seat, the gauge should show empty and the light should come on. If it doesn't then I'd guess the bulb has blown. RE: fuel light - cully - 07-03-2014 dont think the bulb will blow as i believe its an LED RE: fuel light - Piggy - 07-03-2014 About 5min ago, mine came on...needle was about .5mm into the red. Gloat moment: I last put fuel in 504miles ago...and it was 3/4 tank RE: fuel light - E_KEL95 - 08-03-2014 Bulb blown am guessing mines did work but hasnt for about a year ana half now lol never bothered me though RE: fuel light - Toms306 - 08-03-2014 You guys do realise you don't have to wait for the fuel light before filling up, right... |
