Car won't start - Bodge - 22-02-2014

Hi guys.

Been replacing the brake servo this week so that meant I had to take out the entire dashboard fascia to get behind the steering column and the steering mount. Put everything back and now the car won't start. The car turns over and the starter motor still goes but it won't fire up and start. I'm at my wits end with this piece of shit I've had it for nearly 2 months and it's spent 1 of those off the road.

Sounds like typical HDi ownership tbh...

My guess is one of the plugs has dropped out or wasn't put back. Either for fuel pump or BSi probably.

have you knocked the immobiliser receiver thing off the ignition barrel?

Cheers guys, sorted it now! We'd knocked the inertia switch when we let the car down off the trolley jack! Also hadn't put the earth lead back on properly, doh!

Was going to say inertia switch. It seems to react to when you remove it as I found the same on my brothers hdi.
