My low and slow chequred beast - Dan - 07-12-2011 After the death of my much loved Citroen AX I was looking through my local classifieds and came across this stunner Rubish pic but its all ive got I started transfering the bit i could from the ax to the pug, sound system, steering wheel, exhaust ect i soon found out the exhaust was too short which i thought it might be i couldnt do anything about it for now as the old box literaly disintergrated as i took it off... next i managed to get myself a set of 15" Project kahn RSR's for a bargain (bit of curb damage but i cant complain for what i payed for them ) Next was the start of the chequring craze Both exterior and interior mirros and center console After having a problem with the indicators i had to go down to my local scrappy to get a new stalk, whilst i was there i came across an unvented laguna splitter, i had the bumper off to fit itso whilst i was there i took my headlights out and black masked them and painted the fans white and the front and rear badges black By this point in my opinion thecar was realy coming together I got in contact with ginge191 andhetold me he had an exhaust up for sale so after taking it off his car i fitted the beast to mine along with a homemade De-silencerd center section After getting a little bonus from work i decided to trat myself to a set of 60mm lowering springs That weekend i got to work on lowering it as soon as i got the front done i was rudely interupted by the misses by the time i had finished sorting her out (not in that way) i was running out of light and it had started to rain so for the week i was riding around like a dragster the weekend after i got to work doing the back after alot of blood, sweat, tears, WD40 and pain later the back was finaly done got some stickers for the rear window After spending hours cutting up some vinyl i had some 150mm white vinyl squares so these were painstakingly fitted to the roof to create (as many of my friends call it) 'the chess board' Specs at the moment are Engine: VTR Intake Manifold Universal Back Box De-Silecered Mid section Universal Induction kit/filter Suspension: Lowered 60mm front Lowered 70mm Rear Exterior: 15" Project Kahn RSR's Chequred Roof and mirrors Citroen Xzara Washer jets aero front wipers De-wipered rear Rear window decals Black Masked headlights 8000k Hid kit Tinted rear lights Unvented Laguna Front Splitter De-badged strip under boot Black front and rear badges White Fans Audio: Pioneer HU Fusion Components (front) Vibe Slick 6x9's with seperate alpine tweeters (rear) 2x12" Vibe Black Air 1400w subs 800w American legacy amp 1600w American legacy amp 4 gauge wiring kit More updates to follow..... EDIT just noticed the bonnet raisers in one of the pics they are now gone it was just a tester to see what it looked like Re: My low and slow chequred beast - Curt - 07-12-2011 Like it dude, was tempted by a chequered roof a while ago but never did anything about it.
