Putting the dash back in the gti and have no idea where this spike thing came from I know it's from somewhere in or above the drivers footwell

Doesn't that go into the side of heater mixer unit.

Left hand side of the footwell, down on the trans tunnel by the join between plastic and carpet. I think.

Oh thats where its meant to go. I think mines just poked into a gap down there somewhere haha. Should probably have a look at mine.
