I always use the Carlube stuff, when you run veg the oil is f*cked in no time anyway

Gulf Competition 5w40 going in mine. Normally 50 but 42 with the sale. And i also bought a 20quid bittle to run in for the first hundred miles :p

£12 for 5 litres
also it appears to have some sort of sulphur in it for lubrication, smells like gearbox oil

Yeah I noticed that. I mean running veg my oil gets tacky after 4k maximum no matter what it is, so why spend much eh?

£65 for the gearbox oil for the buggy....£100 for the damper oil....35 quid just for the damned grease for the CV joints.

I know a guy that volunteers at that aircraft museum near York, oil change for a Merlin V12? £600, and there's 4 on a Lancaster
