hey ho, zx volcane - zx_volcane - 09-03-2012 Hey ho So, sneaking in with a citroen zx here, long time lurker ..etc Running a K14 @ 22 PSI on bosch pump and fmic. Got a T25 in the post, so hoping to sort that in the near future. Also had both a very minor rear and front ender since pic - so got spare bumpers on at the min and awaiting some bodyshop action to get it perfect again. Anyone recognise it? I've had it just over a year, but previous owner had shown it a heck of a lot of love. Re: hey ho, zx volcane - Kimmie - 09-03-2012 Welcome Re: hey ho, zx volcane - 4WayDiablo - 09-03-2012 looks bloody good! very clean but dont recognise it Re: hey ho, zx volcane - zx_volcane - 09-03-2012 4WayDiablo Wrote:looks bloody good! very clean but dont recognise it clean before 2x numpties bumped it in the space of about a month Re: hey ho, zx volcane - Hitchos - 09-03-2012 Welcome mate Re: hey ho, zx volcane - darrenjlobb - 09-03-2012 Welcome along ZX FTW, James has competition! Welcome btw. cooooie! yes so many boards, but no decent zx board - maybe i could start one and all 3 of us could sit around while the tumble weeds roll past. T25 turned up this morning , will have to find some time to sellotape it on Re: hey ho, zx volcane - silverzx - 10-03-2012 Where'd you get your FMIC mate? Re: hey ho, zx volcane - zx_volcane - 10-03-2012 silverzx Wrote:Maybe. best thing about that fmic (apart from the awesome price and near instant delivery) was the pre cut pipe and lack of thinking when it came to routing - although will be changing around at some point when i get the new turbo and xantia manifold on. Bending the rad doesn't seem right Re: hey ho, zx volcane - silverzx - 10-03-2012 zx_volcane Wrote:silverzx Wrote:Maybe. Holds boost ok though right? Your welcome! Re: hey ho, zx volcane - Eeyore - 10-03-2012 looks good. Retro French seems to be making a comeback! I think the morettes look much better :-) Re: hey ho, zx volcane - Poodle - 11-03-2012 Haha, sounds like a plan chap. Will struggle to find more than three me thinks, not everyone can be this cool. Re: hey ho, zx volcane - Welshy_Pete - 11-03-2012 Hello welcome to the forum. Re: hey ho, zx volcane - zx_volcane - 11-03-2012 silverzx Wrote:Holds boost ok though right? ended up buying new mikalor hose clamps and double clamping everything as had a bit of boost leak couldn't track down. Hairspray ftw, nothing popping! Re: hey ho, zx volcane - silverzx - 11-03-2012 zx_volcane Wrote:silverzx Wrote:Holds boost ok though right? Sorry to hear that, I've just bought a similar kit again (with chocolate clamps) so maybe I should pre-empt the problem and buy some decent clamps as well.. Can't complain for the price though right. Re: hey ho, zx volcane - mark_airey - 13-03-2012 I have a real soft spot for these and I have no idea why Looking good should go better with a T25 attached! Of course not, I was going round in circles trying to locate it and just went belt n braces. Tried fashioning a leak test kit out of a foot pump and stickyback plastic but it was rubbish and i couldn't pressurise the system. mark_airey Wrote:I have a real soft spot for these and I have no idea whyUnderstandable, they're awesome Re: hey ho, zx volcane - mark_airey - 13-03-2012 at the home brew pressure testing kit, you didn't use duct tape and cable ties, that's where you went wrong.............. You may have a point there, its not as nice as James' 16V though, they are just porn, he needs to put his XUD engine into that but he won't, can't think why! RE: hey ho, zx volcane - softlad - 26-10-2012 Make that 4 of us now mate. Read with interest what your doing to the ZX, in the process of doing the same to mine down here in New Zealand. Its a real help to see pictures of things done. Mines a dark green 94 5door Volcane, Had a 3door about 15yrs ago back in the UK but will never see one down here. Just found a fabricated inlet manifold for the FMI though from some guy that stuck a ZX engine in a rwd camper van. Just doing the head gasket on mine first as bought broke to play with. Is the T25 a straight bolt on swap and is there massive improvements with this setup over factory turbo RE: hey ho, zx volcane - zx_volcane - 26-10-2012 Cool 4 of us, with enough time and determination I reckon there could be 10 of us one day ;0) I've got project threads for both my ZXs up http://306oc.co.uk/forum/thread-4029.html http://306oc.co.uk/forum/thread-2137.html RE: hey ho, zx volcane - Will_306_hdi - 26-10-2012 Welcome. Looks really smart. |
