Help please - mark306 - 01-02-2014

I'll start from the begining as it's been a long story.
My daughters 2L HDI (1999) was cutting out, the fault codes were read and showed
P1138 fuel pressure regulator
P1112 fuel rail pressure
on advice from others I changed the HP pump but still had cutting out problems.
The fuel pressure sensor, fuel filter, fuel pump relay have all been changed.
today I changed the in-tank lift pump, after that it's still cutting out.
the code reader (MaxiDiag FR704) showed,
intermittent fault.
Diesel high pressure monitoring function.
Diesel high pressure regulator jammed.

I changed the high pressure regulator (for a known good one) and reset the the codes.
It's still cutting out and the code reader is now showing,
intermittent fault.
Diesel high pressure monitoring function.
Lack of pressure (leak).

Could it be the O rings on the regulator as they're not looking their best ?

Or has anyone else got any ideas ?

Just to add I've also done a leakoff test and checked the fuel cut off switch.
