Turbo oil feed - willJspears - 27-01-2014 Should there be a little rubber gromit/washer in the union nut on the block side of th turbo oil feed? Don't believe so just tighten it up tight should be good, well that's what I think anyway RE: Turbo oil feed - willJspears - 27-01-2014 Well I've tightened it up as far as it will go, but got oil leaking from it, Not where it screws in, but where the union but slots over the feed line RE: Turbo oil feed - Chris_90 - 27-01-2014 (27-01-2014, 05:43 PM)willJspears Wrote: Well I've tightened it up as far as it will go, but got oil leaking from it, Not sure then maybe I'm wrong some one might come along say there should be a washer or something RE: Turbo oil feed - rryan - 27-01-2014 yes, as standard there is a filter that slides inside the oil feed and had an outer lip on which acts as a seal. i removed the filter and used a o-ring instead RE: Turbo oil feed - Ruan - 27-01-2014 Some do, some don't. Often the little filter that slides in the end acts as the seal, but some engines I've seen don't have this and don't need it to seal. Had exactly the same issue on my engine back in the day. RE: Turbo oil feed - willJspears - 28-01-2014 yeah, well i had that little filter thing but it was shagged, got some o rings on the way now RE: Turbo oil feed - Frosty - 30-12-2014 I have just come across the filter in my turbo oil feed. It looks in good condition. Is it best to keep it or ditch it and use an O ring? I guess its the same as XUDs, i ditched it on my XUD |
