Hi,
Just to let people know - HDi 110's are AWESOME.
Mapped a couple of them now, and the amount of fuel you can throw into them is unreal.
Been working on "the milkmans" tonight, we de-maffed it, then starting winding more and more fuel in, the thing flies now!
1.5 bar boost, totally stock in every way and you can put 160hp of diesel in with no real smoke to speak of... Think I may have to get one to play with properly!

We did say before about getting it on a RR and it was 1.6 bar jp haha but yea somehow clutch is holding (standard) and its quick to say the least!! Anyone up for a north RR meet?

All the ones I've done so far have had SMF conversions.
I guess you'd have to go a bit softer on one with a DMF in it.

No mines just smf and standard clutch taking roughly 160/165bhp and ariund the 250ish ft'lb mark. Seems smf are just alot more durable and take the shit better low down

Well, the milkmans is on a SMF and stock clutch... not slipping yet with around 160hp and 260 - 270lb/ft.

There are some changes in the injector maps on the ECU... so I guess the injectors must be a little fruitier...

Mmm I have 307 ones in now. May try some 110 see if there's a difference and have it on a rollers

The differences aren't massive, especially high up the load / pressure range - however it shows there IS a difference.

Cutting issue under load?
Either blocked tank strainer, lift pump dead, or high pressure pump on it's last legs.

Tbh mate I dont know how she is surviving lol so much fuel for a r65 pump being thrown in and 1.6 bar on stock turbo thats covered 158k lol but admittedly jp mapped the power last night abit more and my delivery is so smooth and starts pulling hard around 1700/1800 rpm cant fault the mapping one bit

Depends how you drive it... At the end of the day, it takes a certain amount of chemical energy to move the vehicle. Probably only needs about 30hp to do 60mph...

My guess is if you can read the ecu then he can map it.
The maps are custom, its the 136 thays siemens and can be a lady garden to read I think.

It's the same as the ford engine, it's Siemens normally.
If you can read it (doubtful) I can map it...

How is that stage 2+ map feeling mcglynn? I love mapping them on an r70 high pressure pump and uprated lift pump!

Next stage is big turbo, need to do my research to try find a decent one cheap! Cant fault the mapping at all
