RE: Fmic on my hdi what a ballache - Slam Wagon - 18-01-2014 I can get pics tomorrow if you want. And yes its a ballache RE: Fmic on my hdi what a ballache - daniel909 - 18-01-2014 Yeah please mate as I'm gonna try and finish off tomorrow RE: Fmic on my hdi what a ballache - Slam Wagon - 18-01-2014 Did you get your old pipes out ok? As that took me bloody ages. RE: Fmic on my hdi what a ballache - daniel909 - 18-01-2014 Not done that the put the top elbow on will pull the out from underneath RE: Fmic on my hdi what a ballache - Slam Wagon - 18-01-2014 I spent half a day trying to wiggle that pipe out. Have fun. RE: Fmic on my hdi what a ballache - daniel909 - 18-01-2014 I will let you know how I get on RE: Fmic on my hdi what a ballache - mcglynn - 18-01-2014 Lotta people cut that pipe in half first then take it out, I was blessed and dine1 my fmic work on the car when the engine was out lok Fmic on my hdi what a ballache - Jtrigga - 18-01-2014 I'm interested in seeing how people route the bottom aswell waiting for chris to put pics up in his project thread. RE: Fmic on my hdi what a ballache - daniel909 - 18-01-2014 We'll if I sort I tomorrow I will post some pics RE: Fmic on my hdi what a ballache - mcglynn - 19-01-2014 The bottom of mine is a bodge, comes from the black pipe to the drivers side, under the cross member and up to the intercooler. I plan on making it a 'twin pass' sort of set up with a long piece of straight pipe coming back over the top of the intercooler and both coming into the bay at the passenger side in future though. RE: Fmic on my hdi what a ballache - Dum-Dum - 19-01-2014 I'll do you pics tomorrow. RE: Fmic on my hdi what a ballache - Uberderv - 19-01-2014 This is how we done my mates - Hope that helps That car was rapid, the cooler was the biggest we could get in there without bits sticking out the bumper. RE: Fmic on my hdi what a ballache - daniel909 - 19-01-2014 My old pipes come out fine took like 5 mins and because I could not find a twin pass cooler for sale I use a van cooler and mounted it up right works fine so will leave it be for a min did not manage to get any pictures as it was raining RE: Fmic on my hdi what a ballache - mattgreene - 19-01-2014 looks good mate, need to do mine, i know there a bit of a bugger to do lol RE: Fmic on my hdi what a ballache - Midnightclub - 20-01-2014 (19-01-2014, 12:11 AM)mcglynn Wrote: The bottom of mine is a bodge, comes from the black pipe to the drivers side, under the cross member and up to the intercooler. This what you mean? Here's our setup.. fits like oem Fmic on my hdi what a ballache - Jtrigga - 20-01-2014
Here's our setup.. fits like oem
Images aren't working RE: Fmic on my hdi what a ballache - Midnightclub - 20-01-2014 Weird.. displays fine in your reply on my screen? They're attachments already on here.. I'll see if I've got them on photobucket Uploaded them to photobucket Uses a 406 HDi 110 top rubber pipe to keep it looking OEM, also retains the stock airbox (Removed in this pic as i was changing the rad) Rad removed, but both pipes (2.25") fit perfectly round that side RE: Fmic on my hdi what a ballache - mcglynn - 20-01-2014 Yeah dude thats how I plan on doing it as mines under the cross member atm. Looks shit but does the job just fine! RE: Fmic on my hdi what a ballache - Midnightclub - 20-01-2014 You'll have to use a tight 90 degree bend for the outlet on the drivers side if you want to keep your fog lights, it fouled the fog on ours so rallye blanks were used instead.. Or you could just mount the cooler closer to the passenger side, but we wanted it be central through the bumper grille RE: Fmic on my hdi what a ballache - mcglynn - 20-01-2014 Aye I know what you mean cause it comes up, ill get the bumper off and get a good look in first, my AC pump is coming off too so thats another option RE: Fmic on my hdi what a ballache - Jtrigga - 20-01-2014 Anyone got any pictures of how they routed it underneath using the 406/c5 pipe? RE: Fmic on my hdi what a ballache - mattyh24hdi - 20-01-2014 Also would be interested ^^^^^^ RE: Fmic on my hdi what a ballache - Dum-Dum - 21-01-2014 2.2 HDi bottom pipe RE: Fmic on my hdi what a ballache - rd070707 - 21-01-2014 What's the best car to get the bottom pipe off? As it's the only part I'm still to get RE: Fmic on my hdi what a ballache - Midnightclub - 21-01-2014 the C5 110 HDi pipe is a much better design, but requires a long legged 41mm 90 degree bend to fit to the turbo RE: Fmic on my hdi what a ballache - rd070707 - 21-01-2014 Other options? RE: Fmic on my hdi what a ballache - Midnightclub - 21-01-2014 406 HDi 110 pipe.. that's it really, but it's an insanely small tight 90 degree bend directly onto the turbo, probably only an inch wide if that.. RE: Fmic on my hdi what a ballache - rd070707 - 21-01-2014 Cheers mate |
