Insurance - What should I buy? - Wor Jimmy - 12-01-2014 Say I was going to buy a 306, what should I get? Trying to look up insurance atm but need a solid base to work off, I know i may buy something Totally different in the end but.. meh I would look for a Diesel.. 306 phase 1.. but what's the most common? If the prices are too high I am sticking to my bike F*CK THIS. Prices were all wrong. building a trike! lol RE: Insurance - What should I buy? - Dum-Dum - 12-01-2014 realistically any of the turbo diesels especially the 3drs cost too much on insurance as alot of yoofs bought them because they are only in group 5 and then either tuned the nuts off them and crashed or couldnt handle lo-os and crashed meaning that they are a higher risk car than say a honda jazz. IIRC the 1.8 is one of the better buys insurance wise as yoofs get the smaller engines if they cant afford the big ones or manage to scrape the money to insure a xsi or gti so the sort of people who crash dont drive 1.8s RE: Insurance - What should I buy? - Tom - 12-01-2014 5 door d turbo cant be much, as long as you dont live in a dreadful area code! Smart arse.. I've always seen diesel as a by product of petrol lol RE: Insurance - What should I buy? - RetroPug - 13-01-2014 Meant to write "whether" haha. Oh, another thing to consider is that the value of a car makes a significant difference, and not always in an obvious way. The lower the value of the car, the cheaper it is to insure to an extent. Under about 1500 the lower value can actually make the insurance go up, particularly for fully comprehensive cover, so in some cases it may be better value overall to spend more on the car, and less on insurance, and in the process get a nicer example. RE: Insurance - What should I buy? - THE_Liam - 13-01-2014 The 1.4s and 1.9Ds are the cheapest, old group 4 I think... Many many years ago when i was insuring DT's back when i had small amounts of NCB i found that NADs always use to come out exactly the same prices as DTs RE: Insurance - What should I buy? - Wor Jimmy - 08-02-2014 (08-02-2014, 09:03 PM)puglove Wrote:(13-01-2014, 02:52 PM)THE_Liam Wrote: The 1.4s and 1.9Ds are the cheapest, old group 4 I think...
