Injector clamp nuts - DeeTurbo - 10-01-2014 Hi, Does anyone know if the nuts that tighten down the injector clamps are copper nuts or just steel? From memory they did seem soft. I've got some 076 injectors that I'd like to fit but on fitting the last set I think one of the nuts had started stripping its thread and I'm thinking if they are copper nuts I'll get some in from Peugeot. They are just under £10 for a set of four and that's the other reason I'm thinking they might be copper. RE: Injector clamp nuts - Dum-Dum - 10-01-2014 IIRC copper. RE: Injector clamp nuts - Toms306 - 10-01-2014 Yep, they are copper. RE: Injector clamp nuts - Jimbo - 10-01-2014 100% copper stripped mine when changing injectors Torque settings not that high.only 30nm iirc RE: Injector clamp nuts - DeeTurbo - 10-01-2014 Thanks guys. It was one of them where the injectors were blowing by so I tightened the nut up until they stopped but I could feel the threads starting to go. Bugger, I should of asked earlier as I past a dealer on my way home. |
