It's a fair bit of work that goes on underneath the wide arches, like extended Wishbones, modified turrets for the topmounts, the genuine dinmas had turreted rear suspension to sack off the torsion bars...

Depends how dedicated you are really lol

This ^^^ lol

But if you can get a factory dimma its just alot of money involved.

But if you just want the fiber glass body kit the rear quaters are the biggest pary . But i think is like £2.5k . Google dimma designes and you looking for a web site like www.dimmadesignes. Sumin. They are the offical kit. Dont be fooled by tacky knock offs that defo arnt the same and look shit lol

Link to the body kit & the wide track kit you will need http://www.dimmadesign.com/en/306Berline.html

Its exciting reading.... Proper genuine 306 Maxi (Rally spec) was 960kg, 300bhp at 11,000rpm AND thats using a 2.0Gti6 lump with forged internals N/A!

Over 300bhp/ton -wow!

Paul

RE: 306 Maxi/Dimma/wide body - Dum-Dum - 08-01-2014

No hes building a 1/10th replics

I was actually eyeing up the copy kits on ebay and any way you look at it its a huge amount of money. You would be better buying a ready built shell.

RE: 306 Maxi/Dimma/wide body - ginge191 - 08-01-2014

Hmm who was it who had a full dimma/rep sitting on a shelf in a garage; one of the ladies on here if i remmeber correctly?

The owner didn't want rid, but i reckon if you throw a tasty figure he may part; depends how much either party values the car/££

RE: 306 Maxi/Dimma/wide body - Piggy - 08-01-2014

yeah that was amazing...and would be the cheaper route imo...so long as done well in first place/genuine

RE: 306 Maxi/Dimma/wide body - BigTallPaul - 08-01-2014

Oh Thanks for the heads up. Is it a part-finished project (on a shell) or a series of parts ready for assembly?

Paul
