RE: Car won't start. - Mikey - 07-01-2014 Its a 2ltr twin cam 5speed rallye 2001 model. could it be something to do with the imobiliser? RE: Car won't start. - Piggy - 07-01-2014 Possible. Did you unplug the ring around the ignition? Do you know if its getting a spark or fuel? RE: Car won't start. - Mikey - 07-01-2014 Yes I had to unplug the immobiliser to move the dash, I haven't checked for fuel or spark yet. RE: Car won't start. - C2K - 09-01-2014 inertia switch probably got a knock RE: Car won't start. - Mikey - 11-01-2014 Where is the inertia switch? Car won't start. - Alee83 - 12-01-2014 Behind the battery near the bulkhead, red rubber top!! RE: Car won't start. - Niall - 12-01-2014 When you flick the key to the second stage, can you hear the fuel pump under the back seats priming? If not, check the inertia switch and also check the two large multi plugs under the glove box are connected properly. RE: Car won't start. - Mikey - 13-01-2014 I can't hear the fuel pump, and there is no spark. I have pressed the inertia switch and rechecked all the multi plugs. There is a red stop sign in the middle of the dash which is staying on when the key is at the second stage. RE: Car won't start. - mikey b - 13-01-2014 Did you disconnect the battery when you done it have you tried locking unlocking the car RE: Car won't start. - Mikey - 13-01-2014 Yes I disconnected the battery well before I started work and the central locking still works. |
