Now got lods of length so can get the cooler in the best possible place RE: The Astor...she lives - 7057sam - 16-04-2014 Shit just got real!! 9 sleeps till I'm officially back on track in a 306 very excited and keen to do combe justice as has time did nt end to well. RE: The Astor...she lives - Matt - 16-04-2014 Looks shit. Did you sort the icv? I've got two day here lol RE: The Astor...she lives - 7057sam - 16-04-2014 (16-04-2014, 08:06 AM)Matt Wrote: Looks shit. Got one sorted for friday cheers also sorted a second hand speedo sensor as that's getting worst. RE: The Astor...she lives - 7057sam - 17-04-2014 Right did nt get much done today (more tommorw) This mother fucker was the thorn in my side for 2 hours. So had the back and front jacked used a 2 tonne on the rear and this piece of sht on the front.Yes in hindsight should of used the trolly on the front but because of lows it wouldn't fit, well lesson learn.never again. track tyre's vs road tyre's Oh found that the last person removed my spare and painted the boot floor, looks to be a good job and done most of the underside of the car,so another thing which I don't need to do RE: The Astor...she lives - 7057sam - 19-04-2014 Today things we needed to do was:test the track tyres, fit the cooler and do the rallye blanks As see by the photos done a super awesome bodge fitting my cooler then relised the cooler was the wrong size for the pipes.FAIL,still only got 2 sessions at combe so should be ok I do have the fans wired to the aircon button so can have them going to cool it. Then fitted the 1.2 's.well looking at the tryes they where mad in 2007 but no sign of perishing so see how they hold up. Also they have to have tapered bolts got a good 6 turns on the wheels and torqued up fine?driving them was abit odd though they scrubbed on the front so headed back the gargae to raise the front up.which actually looks better now as the cars not nose heavy now. RE: The Astor...she lives - 7057sam - 19-04-2014 Took the 6 out for a kane today.kinda massive fail I was driving and sunnenly the magnex got a lot lounder than it usually gets Turns out my home brew decat had failed spectacully.sheering striaght of.me and rac man managed to wire tire it up good enough to get home. so got to get this sorted this week or no combe on Friday The Astor...she lives - rocker8742 - 20-04-2014 That's a shame mate but at least it's an easy fix RE: The Astor...she lives - eddy_gti6 - 20-04-2014 Come one Sam what is that? Why have you not got a magnex decat on there? Don't worry is already ordered RE: The Astor...she lives - 7057sam - 25-04-2014 Original intention of selling these and keeping the tryes for the speedlines but I dunno quite like them, somthing different RE: The Astor...she lives - Eeyore - 25-04-2014 Looks epic. Astor and orange looks amazing! RE: The Astor...she lives - powerandtorque - 25-04-2014 I normally dislike brightly coloured wheels but I've got to say that they actually look pretty damned good! RE: The Astor...she lives - eddy_gti6 - 25-04-2014 Get them on with an orange tow hook FTW B) RE: The Astor...she lives - willJspears - 25-04-2014 yeee, plus one for orange wheels, looks sweet RE: The Astor...she lives - 7057sam - 27-04-2014 Thanks for all the comments guys Was very impressed this weekend car did 400 mile round trip and 2 track sessions, did brilliantly in booth. Has really put things into perspective of what I need to do to it next I've now decided to keep the to sets of 1.2's and sell my turinis as this will fund my 310mm brake conversion which i really really need RE: The Astor...she lives - 7057sam - 28-04-2014 Found this kicking around Car when very well all day now different need better brakes and lsd RE: The Astor...she lives - Eeyore - 28-04-2014 Yes great fun on track! Cheers mate everything is pretty awesome atm currently have 2 cars booth working very well but it means the 306 is nt my daily But should save a considerable amount in my fuel bill. Also should free up money to souly spend on mods instead of fueling it all the time Plan was today was paint some bits black: calipers engine block etc and find where the condensation is getting in my lighs but the weather is closing in on me to resigned to looking on ebay for car parts Parts for the next few weeks(up to fcs/pugfest) Adjustable rear shocks Fit the recaros Get a 350mm flat wheel (omp suede probably) Get the engine bay looking respectable maybe relocate the battery to the boot so I can do my fancy induction setup again Fit catcams Maybe either get some ds2500 pads or find a rotors bells and calipers Lots to do but have every friday off to work on it and with me and my mate at is garage can do the majority of the things quite quick. Oh and most of all try not to break anything, here's hoping all my bad luck is gone now RE: The Astor...she lives - Eeyore - 01-05-2014 Good luck mate RE: The Astor...she lives - 7057sam - 01-05-2014 So invested in a half decent digital compact camera today(Panasonic g3) and gave the car a well deserved clean, hopefully change the wheels over if it stops raining RE: The Astor...she lives - Midnightclub - 02-05-2014 Very nice! Sitting just right too RE: The Astor...she lives - 7057sam - 02-05-2014 Cheers mate we raised the front up slightly to stop the ado48 rubbing at the front but also got rid of the nose heavy look. differently feels very planted on track, need to sort out the condensation in the drivers side black mask now. RE: The Astor...she lives - Midnightclub - 02-05-2014 Nice What suspension have you got on this then, cba scrolling through 7 pages lol, I want to say AVO's? but may be thinking of someone else RE: The Astor...she lives - 7057sam - 02-05-2014 kw v1 guess they essentially a basic coilover but seems to still be pretty pricey I got them second hand would of never brought them new. I'm impressed though seems good on track needed more time to give them a good run in but defentely respond well. |
