RE: Mapping Cornwall - cully - 01-01-2014 how long is a piece of string! do some research on stage 1,2,3 there is a guide on this site it all depends on your wallet RE: Mapping Cornwall - daniel909 - 01-01-2014 Cheers RE: Mapping Cornwall - Tom - 01-01-2014 Yeah Darrens got all the gear bud, just have to get a map from somewhere. Pro steve is very good, but hes quick and always available, i've heard people have trouble getting hold of whippy and then theres that guy TB who i've never even seen say anything. RE: Mapping Cornwall - mcglynn - 01-01-2014 Jammapic is mapping now too, can stand over his work so far. RE: Mapping Cornwall - Tom - 01-01-2014 Yeah good point ^^ Not sure how much he charges but hes getting some good results! RE: Mapping Cornwall - mcglynn - 01-01-2014 Wont disclose my price as it may vary but the rates are good. Mine was further experimenting too for him and the difference between the maps (due to slipping clutch) and communication was great RE: Mapping Cornwall - daniel909 - 01-01-2014 Cheer guys but I'm all sorted now with the map should be getting done by next week. Just new to make some brackets for my intercooler then I will be away RE: Mapping Cornwall - mcglynn - 01-01-2014 Who you getting to write the map? RE: Mapping Cornwall - darrenjlobb - 02-01-2014 Ill read / write it and get a map of TB. Reliable service so thats who I use. RE: Mapping Cornwall - mcglynn - 02-01-2014 Heard his maps are awesome just can be hard to get a hold of. RE: Mapping Cornwall - Tom - 12-01-2014 (11-01-2014, 08:14 PM)mcglynn Wrote: Is the car stage 2 mapped? Stage one i imagine, unless Rhys kept it quiet. Re: Mapping Cornwall - mcglynn - 12-01-2014 He mentioned an intercooler thats why I asked RE: Mapping Cornwall - Tom - 12-01-2014 (12-01-2014, 04:22 PM)mcglynn Wrote: He mentioned an intercooler thats why I asked Might be then i dont know. RE: Mapping Cornwall - jammapic - 12-01-2014 FYI. I'll do a 306oc discount, as the 306 maps are very easy and give great results... RE: Mapping Cornwall - tomosy10 - 18-03-2014 Hi are you still looking for a remap as there's Celtic tuning down here. RE: Mapping Cornwall - mcglynn - 18-03-2014 Think people on here tend to stick to the forums mappers. They have yielded the best reaukts thus far. RE: Mapping Cornwall - Poodle - 19-03-2014 Lol don't go to celtic tuning unless you want to get less power for more money. RE: Mapping Cornwall - Andy annear - 19-03-2014 Ive driven a hdi mapped from celtic and it had a decent print out, cant quite remember exactly but it was around 130bhp and went well tbh, they charge £250 which is alot though RE: Mapping Cornwall - Tom - 19-03-2014 My friend works for Celtic so i hate saying dont go to them but tbh you'd rather get someone who maps these all day long and has hundreds of people with proven epic results, and aswell the forum mappers are custom. Celtic will be a generic map made by them or amd essex or somewhere else that they just slap onto all the 306's they map. RE: Mapping Cornwall - darrenjlobb - 19-03-2014 My experience of our local celtic tuning place is not good! RE: Mapping Cornwall - Tom - 19-03-2014 (19-03-2014, 10:47 AM)darrenjlobb Wrote: My experience of our local celtic tuning place is not good! Is that the: "What if it explodes on our nice new dyno?" experience you had RE: Mapping Cornwall - darrenjlobb - 19-03-2014 Well yeah partly....I was told if the front bumper touchs the roller on the way in he would refuse to run it (still at my cost), refused to do more than 2 runs incase it blew up on his "brand new dyno" (isnt this what buisness insurance is for??? plus the fact a brand new dastek dyno is designed to get covered in oil, theres nothing expensive under the rollers themselves...just a short cleanup...) and he just treat / spoke to me like a waste of space. Was incredibly disappointed at the local service. RE: Mapping Cornwall - tomosy10 - 19-03-2014 ohh right I wouldn't no what to think about them.I only new about then due to a mate going there I thought they was in Scotland to be honest. RE: Mapping Cornwall - Tom - 19-03-2014 They're a Cornish company, they have a guy that goes all over the country mapping cars, that what my mate does But they have a dyno and "mechanic" at the head office in Roche/Victoria by the A30. |
