my mates audi a4 didnt have a service for 30k, he found that out after he bought it. fun and games when it came to the mot. 2 page failure sheet.

No idea how long mines been between services but at least 20k between two of them! Damn variable long life servicing, I still prefer yearly tbh!

Back in the day before I replaced the engine in my car, when it was on it's last legs, I left the oil for 15k miles, only topping up... I've never smelt oil that bad...

Good way to test oil in Diesels, how bad it smells, if it smells of bonfires, change it, if it just smells of hot oil, it's fine.
