Black 6 - Nadine - 30-12-2013

Only just realised that I don't have a project thread up for my current 6. So some might remember that I bought a black 306 for £145, I fixed a few bits on her, but I really wasn't happy with the rust. So sold her on for £600 Smile
How I got her

How she left me

Anyhow after she was gone my partner decided she wanted another black 6, looked everywhere for one and finally found one in Wales lol. So a few messages and a bit of haggling later, I booked my flight and set off for my £300 6.
102k miles, cam belt done at 98k, interior was rather good, with just a small split at the seam of drivers seat. Had new back box fitted, came with new centre section, broken fog but came with one to replace.
She drove back with only one hiccup, my brake lights were staying on due to the switch on the peddle coming loose. Took me two hours to fix the fecker as had no tools and had to call Greenflag lol

How she came to me

First thing, good clean inside and change interior, as had a mint one from my last 6

New interior in

White bonnet and boot badge, new bonnet also fitted as other had a slight crease where it was closed to hard

I fitted the centre section at mot time in August. Just done discs and pads all round and full service. Also fitted her with white cyclones, can you guess the theme lol she also had a gold drivers door handle, changed that back to a black one.

So now I'm thinking lowered, and black masks?

What do you think

RE: Black 6 - Craigus - 30-12-2013

Lowered and black masks would look sweeet! Smile black and white goes so well together! Looks smart!

RE: Black 6 - Nadine - 30-12-2013

Thanks, it has taken me a while to like her, I wanted to sell her to get an escort gti, but the other half was having none of it

RE: Black 6 - Grant - 30-12-2013

Wow very smart for the money!

Cleaned up nicely inside too!

I would love a black 3dr.

RE: Black 6 - Daniel306 - 30-12-2013

I had a escort Gti, standard Dturbo is faster and cheaper to run

RE: Black 6 - Nadine - 30-12-2013

I've had 7 escorts in my time, and this is my 4th pug. I agree my dtub was faster, but there is just something about the escort I love, and something about the 306 I don't lol. However I'm starting to slowly change my mind

That was my one

RE: Black 6 - RetroPug - 30-12-2013

I wonder whether white masks would work & look good? Never seen it done before.

RE: Black 6 - Grant - 30-12-2013

Doubt it but there's only one way to find out Wink

RE: Black 6 - RetroPug - 30-12-2013

I think they'd look bad on their own but might just work with the other colour-coding.
Having said that, black masks on a black car are guaranteed to look good...

RE: Black 6 - Nadine - 30-12-2013

Hmmm think I may need to try both, who wants to make me a set of white and black masks?
Daniel this was my rs2k rep 2.0l engine fitted on azev a alloys[Image: nadine011.jpg]

My first escort gti her name was precious lol[Image: 000_0091.jpg]

RE: Black 6 - Eeyore - 30-12-2013

so many escorts D: I wouldnt bother with white masks myself but each to their own. Black masks look sick on black though!

RE: Black 6 - Nadine - 30-12-2013

That's just 3 out of the 7, didn't wanna bombared with pics of escorts lol not sure if the white masks would just look weird. Deffo in the market for a good set of black masks tho

RE: Black 6 - RetroPug - 30-12-2013

White probably would look weird.

I can't even get the lenses off my bloody valeos though so what would I know? Doh

RE: Black 6 - Daniel306 - 30-12-2013

My brother had a rs2k 4x4, sold it to someone who was going to rally it...

RE: Black 6 - Dum-Dum - 30-12-2013

I really wanted one of those a few years ago

RE: Black 6 - Piggy - 30-12-2013

yeah but those 4wd systems were shocking...as was the engine to be honest...oh and the rot from the inside chassis.

Not sure about the white masks...I quite like how clean it all looks at the front as it is.

Maybe black masks with a white "Peugeot" on them?

RE: Black 6 - Nadine - 30-12-2013

Thanks dum dum, got a drivers side door seal to sort, as it was like a swimming pool in the back of the drivers side today Sad
Lowering is deffo gonna happen, probably 60mm all round. The masks are still a maybe, I agree piggy she does look clean at the mo. what do you mean with a white peugeot on them?

Cosworth is my dream escort. Just can justify the 10k they are still selling for lol

RE: Black 6 - Nadine - 30-12-2013

Do I fit my white inlet or sell it?
