Replacement arch protection - Daniel306 - 23-12-2013 Going to replace both arches on the 205, as they have no arch liners im looking for a way to protect them. Im thinking that painting them with hammerite, then some stone guard like original and then a coat of underseal with added waxoil. would this be enough or is there something else i should do, possibly powder coat them(would that be overkill)? RE: Replacement arch protection - Pompey306mark - 23-12-2013 Underseal then wax oil works a treat. Good idea to paint first I guess depends if you have any bare metal there now. RE: Replacement arch protection - Daniel306 - 23-12-2013 There new so will come in that crap weld through primer, that will most likely come off with thinners RE: Replacement arch protection - Pompey306mark - 23-12-2013 Yea give a good old hammeriting. RE: Replacement arch protection - Martin306 - 23-12-2013 Yeah strip em back to bare metal, weld in, then prime, prime, prime, paint, paint, underseal then waxoil. Powder coat would be a bad idea, because it will chip. Or just hammerite the shit out of it. RE: Replacement arch protection - welshpug - 23-12-2013 sod hammerite, get some real paint, don't forget the seam sealer to the wheelarch guard and the front inner wings. RE: Replacement arch protection - Daniel306 - 23-12-2013 What other paint should i use? |
