Engine Vibration Felt Throughout Revs - Tom85 - 15-12-2013

This one has been bugging me for a while. There is vibration mainly felt through the steering wheel but also the dash and whole body which increases with revs whether stationary or moving. It is almost like a buzzing sensation though the steering wheel and also there seems to be a deep vibration noise. All the engine mounts have been replaced, bottom pulley replaced, the exhaust isn't touching anywhere - suspension components all tight. I can't feel any vibration through the tie rods. Injectors have been replaced. Running out of things to check! Just wondered if anyone else has had simialr symptoms? It makes the engine sound unrefined and noisy inside compared to other 306 HDIs where the engine feels a lot smoother.

Thanks in advance

Do you know if the vibration is there if you run the engine without the auxiliary belt?

Thanks. Found the issue in the end - cat was leaking slightly (weld had split at the front slightly) and the exhaust wasn't aligned properly. Cat welded up exhaust refitted and it's a lot smoother now Smile
