306 Trip Computer - Niall - 12-12-2013 Seeing as I'm going to be using an Omex in the next few months, my 406 retrofit trip computer will no longer work so is no longer required. The trip computer displays: Average speed Miles covered instant MPG Average MPG Fuel till empty (not accurate. Never looked into why). The button is the same as in the 406. I have modified a PH3 wiper stalk so that the cap at the end (the one which is the horn on the other side) is the button to control the TC. one click to scroll and hold to reset. You are buying the 406 TC, the custom made surround finished in high gloss black, wiper stalk and various bits of wiring. Installation isn't too difficult however some wiring is required from the dials loom so its not just plug and play. This will work with a HDi, GTI and any Petrol 306 you can find the pin out on the ecu for the fuel use although i have a list of them so if you tell me what ecu you have, I'm sure i can find out for you. Im open to offers on this but as a guide price, £70 collected would take the lot. RE: 306 Trip Computer - Chris - 12-12-2013 Hmmm if this sells I may have to finish mine off and sell it too. RE: 306 Trip Computer - Niall - 12-12-2013 Yeah i don't want to get rid as its very useful but its no use to me when i install my omex RE: 306 Trip Computer - Carlos182 - 12-12-2013 So tempted. But then again I'd also cry at my mpg... RE: 306 Trip Computer - titch - 12-12-2013 How much wiring is involved? Worst instantaneous I've had was 8mpg and best average was 42mpg. There is about 6 wires needed from the dials, one from the ecu plug and the ones from your original clock plug. About 2 hours work.
