Help identifying a bonnet - titch - 29-11-2013 Looking at a smooth bonnet on ebay, i asked the seller if it has been done well with a plate welded over the badge recess. He replied that it was an original smooth bonnet so no plate. Got me thinking is it a phase 1 bonnet as they didn't have a badge on? I messaged him asking and he didn't really know what he was talking about. Anyone tell from the picture please, as i don't want it if it is a phase 1 as it's for my phase 3. Cheers Titch RE: Help identifying a bonnet - underground375 - 29-11-2013 Looking at the angle of the front I would say phase 1 . RE: Help identifying a bonnet - Pompey306mark - 29-11-2013 It's a smoothed phase 2. RE: Help identifying a bonnet - titch - 29-11-2013 How do you tell the difference? And if it is a phase 2 will that be ok on a phase 3, as i know the phase 1's don't really fit the phase 3 very well. RE: Help identifying a bonnet - Pompey306mark - 29-11-2013 Phase 1's have a grooves that run in them. Phase 2&3s have a ridge. It will fit on a phase 3 RE: Help identifying a bonnet - titch - 29-11-2013 Ok thanks, Here is a picture i found in one of his previous ads on ebay just at a better angle. RE: Help identifying a bonnet - Pompey306mark - 29-11-2013 It phase 2 or 3. But will fit for what you want. difference between phase 2 and 3 is just the depth of those two lines you see.
