T2 Boost? - Dean - 20-11-2013 Whats the most that people have ran on a t2 boost wise? as mine is acting strange boost wise, running 1.5 bar, but it drops right off then picks up to 1 bar, AFAIK I have no boost leaks. Will upload a video up soon. RE: T2 Boost? - Tom - 20-11-2013 Maybe blocked fuel filter? What's your smoke situation like when the boost is being ghey? RE: T2 Boost? - Dean - 20-11-2013 its smokey when cold, but just a slight haze when on full chat. fuel filter was changed about 4.5k miles ago. Could it be LDA setup? as the pump is standard, apart from fuel matched to the boost. havn't rotated or ground the LDA, or a GOV mod yet (no point with a standard t2) RE: T2 Boost? - Jimbo - 21-11-2013 There is a point doing gov mod and ground pin with a t2 it still makes a difference The bosches gov starts to cut fuel at 3k. RE: T2 Boost? - underground375 - 21-11-2013 Turn the LDA round to the more aggressive side then turn the strew out wards on the LDA cap. Take the plastic washer out also. Then turn the star nut anticlock wise two turns ![]() RE: T2 Boost? - Dean - 21-11-2013 Will try tomorrow on my day off, it just pisses me off when it boots in at 1.5 bar, then just dies.. lol And i'll gov mod my pump tomorrow also, see what happens ![]() RE: T2 Boost? - silverzx - 21-11-2013 Definately worth gov modding regardless of turbo. RE: T2 Boost? - Tom - 21-11-2013 Looks like a boost leak tbh RE: T2 Boost? - 4WayDiablo - 21-11-2013 Mine hit 34 psi. Now down to 28. Still wouldnt reccomend it haha. ive since turned it down and realised psi isnt everything RE: T2 Boost? - mikey b - 21-11-2013 Mines gov modded think it makes a bit of a difference RE: T2 Boost? - Dean - 21-11-2013 (21-11-2013, 04:35 PM)Tom Wrote: Looks like a boost leak tbh Only thing I can think of is the D Seal, as I have a inlet adaptor rather than a xantia manifold. RE: T2 Boost? - Tom - 21-11-2013 Inlet manifold maybe? You using a d seal? I just used blue hylomar on my inlet adapter, scraped both surfaces clean gave them a scruff up with sand paper then a shit load of blue! RE: T2 Boost? - underground375 - 21-11-2013 I had the inlet adaptor, tried everything but was still kicking out boost. So I got a old rubber radiator hose cut it in half then made a template of the adaptor. Worked a treat no more boost leeks for me ![]() ![]() |
