Christmas Help - Lego Jon - 20-11-2013

Hi guys.
Im looking to buy my brother in law an xud engine with Bosch pump.
Problem is im a wee bit broke (who isn't this time of year?) and dont have tons of cash flying around.
Basically hes got a 205 dt with the xud7 (?) and wants to pop the xud from the pug for some more grunt.
Id like to get him one for xmas.
Does anyone have a spare going cheap?

Don't know your location pal but PM Karl1989, he has an XUD out of my old XRDT, 123k and very healthy, D8A block Smile

Gonna take a lot of paper to wrap....

RE: Christmas Help - Dum-Dum - 21-11-2013

Try people breaking 306s and zxs on ebay, you can get some bargains.

Thanks guys.
Yeah youre right Tom. Although with the abundance of £1 shops I rekon I'll be able to afford the paper. Lol.
Thanks Dum Dum. I did have a look but were out of my price range.

Can't beat local scrap yards for prices on them!

Well thats the cheapest option.

Everyone else knows there worth something.

You could get lucky on eBay if you found an auction for one or if you message some breakers who might not be greedy/clued up.

RE: Christmas Help - Lego Jon - 21-11-2013

Yeah I know.
Something may crop up here though.

RE: Christmas Help - silverzx - 21-11-2013

Even if it does its rare to see a bosch setup (injectors, lines, pump, pulley) go for less than £70 + postage.

You can get an engine for not a lot more with a pump..

RE: Christmas Help - Poodle - 21-11-2013

Write him an iou for work converting the engine? Or buy him a td04?

RE: Christmas Help - Lego Jon - 21-11-2013

Lol. He's bought a 306 dt but its lucas pumped (he thinks) and is gonna plop it in his 205. Xxxx

RE: Christmas Help - Poodle - 21-11-2013

Yeah got that lol, was just trying to think of cheaper present options, we're all too used to having to do christmas on a tight budget. Although I think my family may shut the door on me if i turn up with more chutneys this year. lol

RE: Christmas Help - Lego Jon - 22-11-2013
