Hello, - Sack - 14-11-2013

Hello all

I've been lurking for a while so thought I should really say hello.

I've been a 306 owner for around 6 months after acquiring a phase 3, 5 door 1800 meridian. I have in the past had a phase 1 2dr td also.

Bring honest the 306 is just my daily while my mk2 fiesta sits at home. Despite this tho, and the fact I can't leave car alone, it has been lowered and rolls on a set of banded steels. Having looked on here I have gone the well walked way of adding a gti spoiler and inlet manifold and i made an induction kit to place the filter in the bumper.

The fiesta, if your interested, is somewhat a lot more heavily modified with a 199bhp st170 engine on throttle bodies, caged, low, split rims, big arches, spoiler, splitter, rust ect ect.

A little about me, Im a mechanic at power engineering but despite spending most of my time in the workshop I am competent on the dyno mapping aftermarket ecu's and jetting carbs. I also make banded steels in my spare time.

Welcome to the forum Hello

RE: Hello, - Sack - 15-11-2013

Thanks for the welcome

I'm well happy with how the 306 turned out for just a couple of simple mods

RE: Hello, - WiNgNuTz - 15-11-2013

Welcome along mate. Thats the beauty of the 306 i find, it looks good from the factory, and with a few minor mods, it can look fantastic! Yours is a fine example, my first 306 was China Blue, so i have a bit of a soft spot for them. My only gripe with yours though, is that a single wiper conversion i can see? Although at least it doesnt park straight up the windscreen! lmao

The fezza looks amazing as well, although i'd have left it looking a bit less in-your-face-mental, for some epic sleeper lolz! lol Bet its a hoot to drive though! Big Grin

Nice work, and as said, get some project threads up, i for one would love to see more. ThumbsUp

RE: Hello, - Lego Jon - 15-11-2013

Love those banded steels. Just what a white estate could do with. Hint hint ;-)

RE: Hello, - Sack - 15-11-2013

@wingnutz thanks! Being honest the pics hide the nasty bits, bumpers are scuffed, drivers rear arch has been hit along with the door and there's a big dent in the rear under the boot. Cleans up well tho all the same. Single wiper with a centre park? It's not 2001 anymore lol as for the fiesta I intended to build a sleeper but that just kinda happened. The ford scene is full of stock looking cars anyway, it's nice to stand out at shows and brake away from the massive rut the ford scene is stuck in

@lego Jon, I can make sets to order on suplied wheels, prices range from £40 to £50 per wheel.

RE: Hello, - Lego Jon - 15-11-2013

That is good to know.

RE: Hello, - Ari - 17-11-2013

Welcome. Love the steelies!

Fiesta looks Epic!! ThumbsUp Was it mag featured? I have seen a brown mk1/2 in Fast Ford IIRC.

RE: Hello, - Grant - 17-11-2013

Welcome along! That fiesta looks savage! Got any more pics?

RE: Hello, - Sack - 18-11-2013

Cheers guys!

The fiesta was featured in performance ford last year, at the time it was on 8j and 9j weller steels and running 45's. the plan was to turbo it so I converted it to efi on a single throttle body but then bort some throttle bodies as they came up at a good price. That engine let go a while after (my own fault) then the st lump was built. I will start a proper built thread soon it's just having the time to sit down and get it all in lol

RE: Hello, - Stephen - 18-11-2013

Both cars look awesome!
