Driveshaft oil seal? - Tom - 13-11-2013

Guys i need help with which oil seals to buy.

I dont think i have a standard xud box, mine seems far shorter ie 80mph = 4k+rpm.

Does anyone know if Peugeot just use the same set for all of it? Or where the gearbox code will be so i could find out? I can only assume its on the side or bottom because i couldnt see anything on top Undecided

When i get my baker lower mount i though i might aswell do seals since the shaft has to come out.

Most pug boxes use the same seals

One slightly larger than the other

I know there a lot of money but it's defo worth the extra to get genuine seals. I put a cheaper 1 in and it leaked straight away

Sure there shot? make sure drivers side shaft is pulled th ENTIRE way in on the middle bearing, if its not it wont meet the seal, and will leak Smile

I assumed shafts tbh, didnt think there was many other places it could leak from. It only leaks when its hot and its not much just you can see it in puddles.

For reference

Both my HDi box and XUD box have the number on the right side under the clutch cable bracket.

something like 20CH33
