Odd knocking - Carlos182 - 11-11-2013

Happened on the way to work yesterday, right hander about 50mph, bit of a knock/band.
Then ever since then it's been happening under braking/acceleration, but not all the time, and making less of a noise over bumps, again not all of the time.

Checked all the obvious stuff, upper and lower braces etc and wheel was on tight and it is, and it's still doing it. Can also get it make a noise by getting hold of the wheel and tugging around at it.

Am I right in thinking it might be driveshaft?
Will get in the the garage jacked up tomorrow and see if there's anything obvious.

Could be a droplink? Sounds a bit like the symptoms I had a while ago.

Ive got the same thing happening now. Lucky I have all the spare parts. When I had this knock on my last car it turned out to be a knackered top mount.

Usually engine mounts or lower strut braces! Is your strut brace new?

Is is new, well a couple of months old, but it's not the same knocking as when it was first put on.
Engine mounts seem fine, gave it a push/tug around and can't feel any movement.
