ta tehnix coilovers - pugtk - 26-10-2013 I have a new set of these fitted in my 205 with no helper spring, what size of a helper spring would I need? Also I read a thread a couple of years ago either on here or theywhoshallnotbenamed, where someone changed the spring rates to improve these coil over's those anyone have a link? RE: ta tehnix coilovers - ConorTRG - 26-10-2013 Standard ta technix helper spring for those would be: Internal Diameter: 62.4mm External Diameter: 82.2mm Spring length: 109mm RE: ta tehnix coilovers - budd - 28-10-2013 For most supplications I can't see the point of a helper spring, a single linear spring with a spec appropriate to your requirements should be fine, I have some TA coilovers on order myself and the first thing I’ll do is workout the spec’s of the springs supplied eg spring rate and free length, then I’ll try to work out what I actually need and if necessary I’ll buy replacements. http://www.rallydesign.co.uk/index.php?cPath=1153_1154 Rally Designs (see link) have a large range of springs and at around £15 each (+vat) it will probably be cheaper to replace the main spring than buy helpers. |
