Changing fuel filter - Welshy_Pete - 27-02-2012 I had one hell of a job to get the fuel filter lid off. The plastic nut was nearly rounded also tight as well. So had to use a screw driver and hammer to get it off! Anyway I had a spare lid so that was fine. I got the fuel filter put in. Then the black rubber come out god knows were from. The metal bit on top of the filter. But were the hell does the black rubber go? Ive tried putting it inside the lid it just drops down and cant close the lid properly. When the black rubber not fitted it all closes perfect so the black rubber the problem. 306 hdi bosch filter.
