2.0 16v working temperature - nikola_bb - 23-10-2013 What is the working temp for 2.0 16v engine. In colder days mine is around 80degrees, on a sunny day in the city it goes around 90 sometimes more. I have changed the thermostat and again on open road and on colder days the temp is around 80 is the engine running too cold? Or this is normal working temp? And i want to ask the 83 degrees thermostat it means is fully open on 83 or it starts to open on 83? 2.0 16v working temperature - Jtrigga - 23-10-2013 Sounds about right to me, I was used to the xud running alot lower and wasnt used to the temp being higher on the gti at first. RE: 2.0 16v working temperature - Rich306 - 24-10-2013 My Rallye on the road runs at about 80 degrees, heats up to 95 in traffic. Sounds like yours is fine! RE: 2.0 16v working temperature - Grant - 24-10-2013 As above, the temperatures you have said are fine. On a hot day if I leave my fans on auto it can get to 100.
