tracking - tysonbully2k12 - 16-10-2013 ri so lads the hdi went for nct today and failed on few bushes and the tracking, im only after putting new ones in and im not spending 40 euro for someone to do it, so just wondering should i go in or out with them? the measurements were [ -18.0 ] they should be +14 / -14 anyone any ideas? RE: tracking - Poodle - 18-10-2013 Say whut? RE: tracking - Piggy - 18-10-2013 -18?! holy crap, is it even driveable?! sorry to be a dunce but is a NCT like a MOT?...amazed they check the tracking RE: tracking - tysonbully2k12 - 18-10-2013 (18-10-2013, 06:09 AM)Poodle Wrote: Say whut? complicated shit ha (18-10-2013, 06:43 AM)Piggy Wrote: -18?! ya it is, it only pulls to the left a small bit too, yeah nct is same as mot but worse as they will always fail you to get more money RE: tracking - Poodle - 18-10-2013 No tracking is pretty simple, i meant your sentence didn't make any sense lol, or at least i didn't understand enough to give you a useful answer. What on earth are their tracking measurements about, -14/+14 what? Do it the old school way - bit of string and a tape measure, guarantee it's just as accurate if you do it carefully. The rest of the sentence - the bit about bushes, something after new ones and going in or out - still doesn't make sense to me, tried reading it a few times, but no magic moment of understanding has come lol. RE: tracking - daddyfixit - 18-10-2013 the figures (-18) are directly from the machine that's checking the alignment; measures in minutes of a degree. his reads a + number when it should be a - number, his wheels are pointing the wrong way. |
