I have had this car 3-4 years and has been a good car. I had a timing belt kit fitted last year along with a genuine valeo clutch and cable. Getting rid due to getting another car so no need for this now. Comes with a stainless exhaust, Bosch pump, HDI gearbox, GTI alloys and has been tuned to a safe 18psi
The car does have some bad bits but nothing major
Blue boot
Rear arch has 2 patches of primer on it
Passenger window stopped working witch is just 1 broken wire
Bottom arm

If you do strip it how much will you want for the engine please? I'd buy the whole car but it works out too expensive as I only want the engine and maybe a couple of other bits.

Looks like a decent motor, don't strip it - it's hard to make all the cash back.
I bet you anything a week after you sell/stip it my DT fails it's MOT miserably and I start looking for another

It needs work, saw this on Ebay and most people are tight and lazy.
When I sold the 1.6 the chap wanted it valeted and a fresh coat of wax even tho I had done this 2 weeks before the sale.
Add shiny and crisp photo's.
try to add something to sweeten the deal like fresh oil and filters.
sorry this is not much help but people can be very fussy.
