GTd badge ideas...suggestions welcome - Piggy - 18-09-2013 So heres my quick done ideas... Idea A: ![]() Idea B: ![]() Idea C: ![]() My other thoughts are D: no badges at all, anywhere E: GTd badges on the front doors, where the meridian badges are currently awaiting removal. None of the Gtd positions on the rear take my fancy yet. And FYI, I plan on painting the badges cossack grey, to go with other bits. Or any other ideas?! ![]() RE: GTd badge ideas...suggestions welcome - Scott - 18-09-2013 I think the lettering looks a bit odd with a mixture of old and new to be honest. If you're set on GTD as your badge, I'd grab one off a Golf ![]() I prefer the subtle de-badged look anyway, never had them on my 6 or S16! RE: GTd badge ideas...suggestions welcome - Toms306 - 18-09-2013 Hatch rear ends look cleanest without badges imo...everyone will know its a diesel when you coal them anyway.... ![]() RE: GTd badge ideas...suggestions welcome - kingy - 18-09-2013 Or non of the above. RE: GTd badge ideas...suggestions welcome - 4WayDiablo - 18-09-2013 Don't go much on any positions. *edit* apart from cowgirl, so I don't have to do much Re: RE: GTd badge ideas...suggestions welcome - Tyronnster - 18-09-2013 (18-09-2013, 08:41 PM)kingy Wrote: Or non of the above. As above RE: GTd badge ideas...suggestions welcome - ginge191 - 18-09-2013 Just in my opinion, those badges look a tad tacky; perhaps try mixing up the original badges; GTi and dturbo RE: GTd badge ideas...suggestions welcome - Chris_90 - 18-09-2013 Or xnd badge? RE: GTd badge ideas...suggestions welcome - Ed Doe - 18-09-2013 Personally if you can make up 'GTidi' imo that'd be best ![]() RE: GTd badge ideas...suggestions welcome - Piggy - 18-09-2013 (18-09-2013, 08:52 PM)Ed Doe Wrote: Personally if you can make up 'GTidi' imo that'd be best but by definition it isn't a 'di' Im going towards none at all at the moment. As the crowd seem to indicate RE: GTd badge ideas...suggestions welcome - Jonny81191 - 18-09-2013 None, it's a shame they never badged up the 1.4's, else I'd say do that ![]() RE: GTd badge ideas...suggestions welcome - Piggy - 18-09-2013 oh but FYI, I would likely get a matching set of letters, all cap's probably and not be chrome...be cossack grey too. (if that changes anyones thoughts!) RE: GTd badge ideas...suggestions welcome - Piggy - 18-09-2013 I'm sure I could find a suitable 1.4 badge.... RE: GTd badge ideas...suggestions welcome - samass - 18-09-2013 btw, Ed meant GT-idi, not gti-di RE: GTd badge ideas...suggestions welcome - Toms306 - 18-09-2013 I never see the point of under-badging cars as 1.4s or whatever.... The coal and tractor noise will be enough to make anyone realise it's not a 1.4.... ![]() RE: GTd badge ideas...suggestions welcome - Piggy - 18-09-2013 (18-09-2013, 09:01 PM)samass Wrote: btw, Ed meant GT-idi, not gti-di ah fair enough. Thats a bit too fussy for me...I will just end up explaining it all the time. RE: GTd badge ideas...suggestions welcome - samass - 18-09-2013 just put a willy on it RE: GTd badge ideas...suggestions welcome - Piggy - 18-09-2013 ![]() ??? ![]() (18-09-2013, 09:05 PM)samass Wrote: just put a willy on it I think you would fall off. ![]() But at least there will be a big one driving ![]() RE: GTd badge ideas...suggestions welcome - Scott - 18-09-2013 Pink cock badge ftw RE: GTd badge ideas...suggestions welcome - Piggy - 18-09-2013 what about: ![]() RE: GTd badge ideas...suggestions welcome - samass - 18-09-2013 christ, you might aswell just go to halfords and get all the turbo, m sport, 16v and all that shite on there if youre looking at things like that... Im joking!!! ![]() RE: GTd badge ideas...suggestions welcome - Jonny81191 - 18-09-2013 Those 2.1 ones could look ok on the doors if they're not massive.. Painted perhaps to blend in a little more...as they are they will stand out like sore thumbs...or badges! RE: GTd badge ideas...suggestions welcome - samass - 18-09-2013 thank f*ck for that, i was told you're a posh bloke, those badges didnt fit the profile i have for you in my head! those 2.1 badges are sick, but they're retro, won't work on a ph3 RE: GTd badge ideas...suggestions welcome - Piggy - 18-09-2013 ^^^good point about that...they would have worked on the cossack grey ph1...but no the ph3 moonshine. badgeless for now I think RE: GTd badge ideas...suggestions welcome - Ed Doe - 18-09-2013 (18-09-2013, 08:55 PM)Piggy Wrote:(18-09-2013, 08:52 PM)Ed Doe Wrote: Personally if you can make up 'GTidi' imo that'd be best No its 'idi' hence GT-idi ![]() ![]() And I thought you wanted to have to explain it? ![]() RE: GTd badge ideas...suggestions welcome - samass - 18-09-2013 get Tom to make one saying 'samass has a massive willy' do that, stick it on your car, have it on for at least three months, and i'll buy you a pint RE: GTd badge ideas...suggestions welcome - Curt - 18-09-2013 No badges IMO |
