HDI brake pads. Help? - amiek - 16-09-2013 I need to replace the discs and pads on the lehdi, which has Lucas calipers. On ecp, they don't have Lucas pads; only Bosch, girling, and teves. What do I need? Or where else shall I go? Ta RE: HDI brake pads. Help? - adamm306 - 16-09-2013 any pads will work as long as they are the correct size RE: HDI brake pads. The 266mm brakes have a couple of different shapes dependent on age of the vehicle. I could try and find the ECP paperwork for the set i got. I'm running 266mm lucas calipers also RE: HDI brake pads. Help? - Curt - 16-09-2013 Just go to CPA, there's one in CHi and there's one in Littlehampton. They're good and they're cheap, should be able to sort you out. .Even if it's wrong, you only have to nip down the road and change them. RE: HDI brake pads. Help? - amiek - 16-09-2013 Ah bladdy hell! I just got Pagid discs and pads for my HDi with Lucas calipers and fitted them on Sunday. This is because I looked at the more detailed specifications for the pads on the ECP site (well, I actually got them from carparts4less, but it's the same company). It actually said "Braking system: Lucas" in the additional info on the pads. Not that hard! RE: HDI brake pads. Help? - Scott - 17-09-2013 No need to be rude about it mate RE: HDI brake pads. Or just for a big 'LUCAS' name on the caliper? You can usually make an educated guess anyway. X reg onwards across the range seem to be all Lucas. HDi's seem to still be Lucas before that. 1.8/2.0 Petrol seem to be Bosch before that. That's only for ph3 though, I haven't had older. RE: HDI brake pads.
