unsrew the 2 torx bits in under the rear ashtray pull off gearstick be careful not to hit yourself in the face unclip gaitor and remove centre console bit

take handbrake off and adjust the nut on the long thread clockwise

Is it maxing out mate if it is no amout of adjusting the cables by the handbreak leaver are gunna do anything apart from stretch the cables but if its abit sloppy then yes as above but if i were you id check the adjusters in the drum(i take it you have drum) if not i typed this for nothing lol...

You dont have to take gear knob off i asume thats what you mean by gearstick lol pop off the retaining bracket it will fit through the hole in the center parting without removing gear knob..

yeah you can just lift the rear of the centre console after removing the screws and wedge it up then extension plus 12mm deep socket. or 13mm!

but is this discs or drums at rear?...if drums, you want to adjust at the drums first then just take slack up with the internal adjuster
